A delegation comprising representatives from the European Union, the Belgian Consulate, the Spanish Consulate, agricultural specialists, the Deputy Director of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), and Mr. Hossam Tbeil, Director of Projects, visited the Arab Development Society (ADS) in Jericho. The purpose of the visit was to observe the ongoing water treatment and biogas production project and to assess the needs of the organization in further developing a circular economy model.
The delegation was warmly welcomed by Mr. Fawzi Shaaban, Chairman of the ADS Board of Directors, who expressed his appreciation for their continued efforts and cooperation. He emphasized the depth of the partnership, the mutual trust between stakeholders, and the importance of completing and expanding the project to include palm waste processing—aiming to create a successful and sustainable economic model.
During the visit, the guests were briefed on the technologies and operations used in water treatment and biogas generation. Discussions also focused on ways to enhance the project in alignment with circular economy principles, maximizing the use of available resources in an environmentally responsible manner.
This visit highlights the ongoing collaboration with international partners to support sustainable agricultural development in Palestine and foster innovative initiatives in renewable energy and agri-tech.
