The installation of the Biogas station at the Arab Development Society has begun, funded by UNDP. Additionally, a wastewater treatment plant for the farm and dairy factory is being set up. This plant is expected to reuse 55,000 cubic meters of water that has been wasted over decades, to be used for irrigating street trees and gardens within the facility. The biogas produced will also be used to power the factory's boiler, and the excess gas will be used to operate a generator to produce electricity for the (ADS). This system has the potential to generate up to half a megawatt when operating at full capacity.
